(*) Since this article was published, Docoon has received temporary registration as a Partner Dematerialization Platform from the French Public Finance Directorate under number 19.
Docoon, France's leading publisher in the development of digital trust services, is proud to announce the integration of Neovacom, a publisher of business process digitization solutions for real estate professionals, notably through Freedz, a SaaS platform where nearly 10,000 users exchange electronic invoices.
With this acquisition, Docoon is consolidating its position by integrating complementary expertise in invoice digitization, thereby expanding its offering to meet the requirements of customers, the market, and the DGFiP (Directorate General of Public Finances).
1. Addressing the challenges of electronic invoicing
While lawmakers announced a few months ago that the implementation of the electronic invoicing reform would be postponed (¹), we firmly believe that this additional time should be used to clarify the final use cases, test IT infrastructures, and provide our customers and partners with a solution and services of the highest quality. The stakes are high: enabling 4 million businesses to switch to a new invoicing process.
In this context, this new collaboration allows us to benefit from shared and enhanced R&D, thereby accelerating developments. With a team of more than 60 employees and estimated revenue of nearly €16 million in 2023, the group is positioning itself as a major player in automated document processing and administrative and accounting processes, including electronic invoicing.
More committed than ever to helping our customers and partners succeed in this strategic transition, this acquisition demonstrates our drive to enhance the quality of our services. It should enable us to quickly integrate specific expertise in electronic invoicing, a field that is constantly evolving. By integrating a company with complementary skills, we are able to offer a broader and more integrated range of services to all our customers. This ambition was clearly stated by Laurent MEZRAHI, President of the Docoon Group: "This transaction is perfectly in line with our external growth strategy initiated in 2020. Following the acquisition of DPII Télécom & services, and in view of the reform, we decided to consolidate our position around electronic invoicing. We also wanted to move closer to a vertical publisher in order to maximize the value of our solutions."
2. Docoon/Neovacom: a shared ambition
Based in Marseille, Neovacom develops a cloud platform designed to simplify administrative and financial functions for businesses. It offers a range of solutions to improve productivity in professional activities, focusing in particular on automating accounts payable, managing bank transactions, and digitizing administrative processes.
Like Neovacom, we are convinced of the clear opportunity that the transition to electronic invoicing represents for all businesses: time savings in processing customer and supplier invoices, reduced processing and archiving costs, increased security in exchanges between the company and its customers, reduced payment times, etc. And we share a common ambition: to be at the heart of the ongoing digital transformation, recognized by the market and its players as a leading player in the electronic invoicing market.
Finally, our employees are driven by the same desire every day: to enable our customers to focus on their core activities by providing tailored services that meet regulatory and market requirements, facilitate data management, and improve customer-supplier relationships. Our common goal is to offer high value-added solutions and expertise that contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction. This ambition is shared by Dominique Fenain, CEO of Neovacom:"This merger stems from the two companies' shared vision of offering integrated and innovative solutions to meet the complex needs of the real estate market on Neovacom's side. By joining forces, we are committed to stimulating innovation, providing superior services and solutions, and offering ever greater satisfaction to our customers."
Now well on the way to obtaining PDP (Partner Dematerialization Platform) status this year (*), Docoon, which has the highest certification standards in France and internationally: ISO 9001 & 27001, PRIVACY PROTECTION PACT – GDPR label, GS1-certified electronic signature, RGS** eIDAS, Z42-013 archiving, is starting a new chapter in its history with this acquisition.
