In the technology sector, rapid innovation is essential to staying competitive. However, internal R&D investments are often time-consuming and costly. To move faster, many companies are focusing on external growth by acquiring innovative structures. This strategy gives them immediate access to new technologies, skills, or products, while enabling them to respond more effectively to the expectations of a constantly evolving market.

Mergers and acquisitions represent a key opportunity for technology companies seeking to innovate and strengthen their competitiveness. M&A transactions are no longer the preserve of large groups looking for startups to enrich their catalog. A new trend is emerging: mid-sized startups are integrating smaller, but strategically aligned, structures in order to combine their expertise and strengthen the consistency of their offering.

And on the Docoon partners and customers side:

WeSoft, a publisher of vertical software, acquires Edilogic, a publisher of software for the construction industry. This acquisition is part of WeSoft's strategy to bring together publishers whose primary characteristic is the relevance of their solutions in their specific markets. Following WeNégoce and Agorinfo, this is WeSoft's third acquisition, and it expects to achieve consolidated revenue of €4.5 million by 2025.

WeSoft, a loyal partner of Docoon, uses two Docoon solutions with high added value through its two companies, AGORINFO and WeNégoce: two high value-added Docoon solutions: electronic invoicing and electronic signatures.

The Septeo Group (3,000 employees, 2024 turnover: €420 million), a leading software publisher in Europe, signed two acquisitions at the beginning of the year. Campus Skills, a publisher of an online platform offering an ecosystem of solutions for monitoring learners, has joined Septeo's Education division, created last December. The ISAGRI Group (turnover: €370 million, 3,300 employees), based in Tillé in the Oise region, specializes in agricultural management software and is continuing its major wave of acquisitions. This year, the company acquired the Lille-based startup Sencrop (turnover: €8 million, 80 employees), which designs and sells connected weather stations for farmers, before acquiring AgriVitech (Marne), a digital solutions provider dedicated to optimizing transport, supplies, collection, and exchanges for cooperatives and agricultural traders. More recently, Isagri announced its acquisition of a stake in Empovet, a startup based in Chalonnes-sur-Loire (Maine-et-Loire). Empovet designed and developed the Zoodiag software, which provides support to veterinarians during their consultations and enables farmers to monitor the health of their herds.

The Isagri Group uses the Docoon multichannel messaging platform to send information and alerts to farmers.

Xelians, a company that supports businesses and public and private organizations in the comprehensive management of their document flows, whether physical or digital, has integrated SoDoc, a publisher of Electronic Document Management (EDM) solutions dedicated to Microsoft 365. With over 20 years of experience in integrating SharePoint with information systems, SoDoc offers an innovative and effective solution to take full advantage of the Microsoft 365 cloud environment.

To enable companies to confidently tackle document digitization and electronic invoicing reform, Xelians has chosen to partner with Docoon, a Partner Digitization Platform (PDP¹ ).

Docoon, a leading publisher of digital trust and dematerialization solutions in France and an approved platform, has confirmed its intention to strengthen its position in the electronic invoicing market and thus expand its functional scope. In 2024, the Group acquired Neovacom, a specialist in the automation of administrative and financial processes for real estate and construction professionals.

Recently, Neovacom changed its name to Docoon.immo. This new identity reinforces its affiliation with the Docoon group and affirms its unique positioning in the real estate and construction sectors. As the deadline for the rollout of electronic invoicing reform approaches, Docoon aims to consolidate its position as an expert in both the software publishing market (white label) and the real estate market, and continues to explore opportunities for mergers with other players.

(1) In recent weeks, the term "PDP – partner dematerialization platform" has been replaced by "PA – approved platform." Docoon is included in the list of the first Partner Dematerialization Platforms registered with the DGFiP (number #0019).
