Avanteam, publisher of a document management (ECM) and business process automation (BPM) software suite, has chosen Docoon, a specialist in digitization and dematerialization solutions, to meet the challenges of the 2024 Finance Act. Avanteam is thus completing its ECM/BPM offering with Docoon, the future Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP). For the Docoon teams, this collaboration is recognition of the work accomplished to offer companies a dematerialization solution that complies with the standards required by the government for the transition to electronic invoicing.

        1. Docoon confirms its ambition to be theleading PDP

With 20 years of experience, nearly 600 clients, and 20 certified partners in France, Avanteam is addressing a rapidly growing market in terms of compliance with the 2024 Finance Act. The latter requires companies to issue and receive invoices in electronic format according to a progressive schedule. For economic players, this upheaval, which puts an end to the use of paper invoices and PDF format, must be anticipated with partners who are experts in document dematerialization. The legislator gives companies the choice between issuing and receiving their invoices directly on the Chorus Pro Public Invoicing Portal or selecting a Partner Dematerialization Platform registered with the administration and regularly audited.

It is in this context, and with a strong desire to be among the leading PDPs, that Docoon, with over 35 years of experience, has positioned itself among the pioneers of document digitization. Our solution covers the entire document chain via time-stamping, electronic invoicing, electronic signature, and interconnection with the national platform (Chorus Pro) and other international platforms (Europe: Italy, Luxembourg, etc.).

       2. Docoon and Avanteam: a customer-oriented approach

The technological revolutions of recent years have led to new behaviors among professionals, new professions, and new markets. A new digital economy is expanding the realm of possibilities. As a result, professionals need more than ever to rely on the skills of experts in process digitization and document dematerialization. Above all, they must be able to rely on customized solutions that meet their needs.

Born from the merger of Odyssey Messaging and DPii, two companies with a shared commitment to customer service and satisfaction, Docoon is dedicated to providing tailored solutions for every business. This customer-focused approach is shared by Avanteam, making collaboration between the two companies a natural fit. What's more, the two companies had already worked together successfully in 2021 for the Synerlab Group, which develops and manufactures pharmaceutical products in Europe.

Avanteam and Docoon have therefore devised a solution that meets 100% of their needs for digitizing and dematerializing all their document processes. By pooling the best of their business expertise, the two publishers aim to offer a solution that already complies with the Finance Act, enabling companies to facilitate their digital exchanges.

       3. 2024 Finance Act: an opportunity for businesses!

As of July 1 , 2024, the finance law will gradually require all French companies to use mandatory electronic invoicing and reporting. All French companies must therefore be prepared to receive electronic invoices from their suppliers. Please note: since this article was written, two major changes to the reform have been confirmed by the legislature:

👉 The schedule has been adjusted and revised as follows: As of September 1, 2026, obligation for all companies receipt of electronic invoices.

As of September 1, 2026, large companies and medium-sized companies (ETIs) will be required to issue electronic invoices.

As of September 1, 2027, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro-enterprises will be required to issue electronic invoices.

👉 On October 15, 2024, the government announced a significant reduction in the scope of the PPF (Public Invoicing Portal). This public platform, initially designed to issue, receive, and manage electronic invoices for businesses, will now focus solely on two functions: the business directory and the tax data hub for e-reporting. As a result: All companies will now have to use a Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP) to exchange invoices and report VAT.

The DGFiP (Directorate General of Public Finances) announced in a press release on July 28, 2023, that the implementation date of the reform would be postponed indefinitely. This date will be set as part of the work to adopt the 2024 Finance Act.]

Far from being a constraint, this reform should be seen as an opportunity for businesses. It is a virtuous circle of digitization and dematerialization that will extend over several years and enable businesses to improve their management and therefore their productivity. The introduction of electronic invoicing will enable economic players to make considerable savings by eliminating paper exchanges and to save valuable time thanks to automated invoice processing. These tasks were previously considered very time-consuming...

For Docoon and Avanteam, this transformation is an opportunity to position themselves as global players in digitization. Tomorrow, using their shared solutions will enable all companies, regardless of their size, to benefit from a platform that is technologically and financially accessible and compliant with tax laws.
